Call for Papers: Conference on "Civil Society and Sphere Sovereignty"
The purpose of this conference is to explore the resources and ideas characteristic of neo-Calvinist political thought with the aim of critically examining their relevance to contemporary debates about religion and politics in a secular society. Paper proposals are invited on any aspect of Kuyper’s conception of Calvinism, but will be especially welcome if they explicitly address the idea of civil society as a set of sovereign spheres that together constitute a crucial counterbalance to both radical individualism and political statism.

Call for Papers: International Journal of Public Theology
The "International Journal of Public Theology" invites submissions for future issues of IJPT. The journal is published four times per year by Brill and is affiliated with the Global Network for Public Theology. (The Kuyper Center is a participant in the Global Network.) Public theology is the result of the growing need for theology to interact with public issues of contemporary society. It seeks to engage in dialogue with different academic disciplines such as politics, economics, cultural studies, religious studies, as well as with spirituality, globalization and society in general. The IJPT is a platform for original interdisciplinary research in the field of public theology. Click the link above for more information.
Searching for 1998 and 2002 Abraham Kuyper event posters
The Abraham Kuyper Center for Public Theology is in the process of organizing an archive of posters related to all its past events. It has come to our attention that we do not have a copy of the poster for the first Abraham Kuyper Consultation, "Common Grace: Theology, Ecology, and Technology," which was held on February 2, 2002. Also, we have only a single copy of the Abraham Kuyper Centennial Conference poster (the 1998 Stone Lectures poster) . Should anyone reading this note happen to have a copy of the 1998 or the 2002 event poster, we would heartly appreciate their donation to our archives. If you can help us, please e-mail special.collections@ptsem.edu
