The Abraham Kuyper Collection of Dutch Reformed Protestantism
is one of the Special Collections housed in the Luce Library of Princeton Theological Seminary. It focuses on the theology and history of Dutch Reformed Protestantism in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. At the heart of the collection is one of the most complete collections of literature by and about Abraham Kuyper, including approximately 30,000 volumes from the library of the late Dutch historian, Dr. George Puchinger. This was acquired for Special Collections in 1999 through the generosity of Mr. Henry Luce III.
Research visits to the Abraham Kuyper Collection are strongly encouraged. Short periods of research by graduate students are especially welcomed, and some financial assistance to meet expenses incurred by a visit is available. Applications including the dates of the visit, the subject of research, an estimate of travel expenses, and short statement on the special relevance of the Kuyper Collection to the research should be sent to Dr. Clifford Anderson, Curator of Reformed Research Collections, who will be pleased to answer queries about all the Special Collections.
