Special Collections cataloging: collection access points

Below are tips for cataloging gift and other special collections/libraries. New collections should be added (as should any that might be missing).

Tips

Special collections from specific libraries have notes like this two. The 730 provides a clickable way to view all items in that library.

730 0_ William Henry Green library
590 __ From the library of William Henry Green.

Or if the item is a gift, the notes look like this

561 __ Gift of Samuel Hugh Moffett, 2005.
730 0_ Moffett Korea Collection.

If the item is signed by the person donating the book a note like this will be included:

590 __ Library's copy signed "Sam Moffett, June 1963."
or
590 __ Library's copy signed "G. Puchinger"

Where the quoted text matches what is in the book itself.
